Gunderson Deep Rib Woodchip Car

These cars were originally purchased by Great Northern and successor Burlinigton Northern beginning in 1967. Many of the GN cars would keep their Sky Blue paint jobs through the entire lifespan of Burlington Northern, only to be repainted for their new owner Burliington Northern & Santa Fe in recent years. With the BNSF merger just weeks old, plans for new paint schemes on freight cars were quickly developed. As long as stocks of former BN Cascade Green paint held out, cars repainted in former BN shops appeared in this green. In the end, BNSF officials settled on a box car red, one with a slight hint of burgandy. BNSF cars of all types are now receiving this color.

For the first time, deLuxe is running a new woodchip gondola in ten road numbers instead of the usual seven. To get all ten order the single, 3 pack and 6 pack.
