This paint scheme is about as bright and cherry as you will see on a car meant for coal service. They are silver with a yellow rotary end and black bottom. The huge sun burst emblem around the road number make this car hard to confuse with anything else. These trains haul coal from Wyoming's Powder River Basin to four power generating stations in northern Indiana. They ride the rails of C&NW, Union Pacific, Conrail, Elgin Joliet & Eastern, and South Shore. In 1995, 35,000 car loads made this journey with just as many empites headed back to the mines.
