| NOTE: The Kato RDC appears to be based on a pre-DCC mechanism, probably something from the Japanese market. Re-using a mechanism may have been what made the RDC financialy a viable project for Kato. Digitrax has done an excellent job making a decoder available for the RDC, but this is not a trivial installation. Please do not attempt this as your first (or even second) decoder installation. You should be well familiar with installing decoders and comfortable disassembling a complex mechanism. |
