In years past the Locomotive Roser & News was a single volumee book. Now the 2006 Edition has been split into 2 volumes. Volume one contains the Class I railroads: BNSF, CN, CP, CSX, KCS, NS and UP. These six railroads have over 26,500 locomotives listed.
Volume II contains the rosters of 2,800 shortline railroads with over 9,500 locomotives.
