The kit is based on a Victorian era Gothic House of the late 1800's. It is made of precision laser cut bass wood, and fiber board materials. Hickson Depot Kit
The Model:

A perfect small town American whistle stop depot. Based on a Milwaukee Road prototype. The original was built in the late 1800's and still stands today! This depot could be found on a standard gauge or narrow gauge railroad. Loaded with charm, the Hickson Depot brings us back to a time when life was simpler and America was growing.

The Kit:
The kit includes a cast chimney and train order signal; one piece peel-and-stick shingle sheets; laser micro plywood walls and bass wood platform; laser-cut brackets, windows and wall trim all with peel-and-stick backing for easy assembly and painting; plus directions with photos and diagrams. Langdon Coal Elevator

Based on an actual prototype. Coal Elevators were usually built in the early 1900's near several grain elevators. Coal was used by every house and business for heating and cooking before the advent of natural gas furnaces and stoves. Everyone in town would need to buy coal for to survive. The coal elevator had the advantage of loading wagons or trucks with 5 to 6 tons of coal through 5 different chutes without shoveling. The elevator itself was loaded in two ways, through the side doors on the track side by shoveling coal from box cars equipped with grain doors or occasionally gondolas or it was equipped with an under-track conveyor system that could lift the coal to the top of the elevator.

B&O Style Railroad Pump House

This model is based on a Baltimore & Ohio prototype. Pump houses were a fixture in rail yards, industrial sites, and as town water supplies from the mid 1800's through today. Changing the roof ridge detail and smoke stack style would allow the model to be used for many other railroads and scenery locations. Once the need for steam pumping was no longer require, many of these buildings were converted to electric drive pumps, or other uses including storage or offices.

The Diesel Engine House

The Model:

Diesel Engine Houses like this were constructed along railroads at most rail yard facilities. After steam engine roundhouses were retired, diesel engines needed a more modern facility in which to maintain them. These buildings often included door cabinets, supply cupboards, lube oil, sand storage bins, automatic oil burning space heaters, a desk and clothes lockers. This engine house has space for one locomotive and includes the smoke jack vents to exhaust the diesels.
