Black with white lettering is the paint scheme on this 50’ steel side, 15 panel, fixed end gondola. IC 245102 is a 2000 cu ft gon which rolls on Barber® roller bearing trucks. It was built in November 1968 and serviced in the early ’90s. The paint scheme is what establishes this gon’s service date. This is the scheme that IC used in the 1990s. The Illinois Central was chartered 150 years ago in 1851. Their first line was from Cairo to Galena, IL. Canadian National purchased the IC in 1998
