These two 100 ton 3-bay open hoppers with rib sides are painted black with white lettering on sides and ends. From its humble beginnings in 1836 as the Louisa Railroad, the Chesapeake & Ohio, headquartered in Richmond, VA and Cleveland, OH, grew substantially over the decades until it was merged ultimately by CSX Transportation on August 31, 1987.
