| This black
100-ton 3-bay open hopper with the large ‘BN’ logo and lettering
in white is carrying a coal load and runs on black Barber®
Roller Bearing trucks. The non-brakewheel end of the hopper, is
painted white and stenciled in black indicating the rotary coupler
end. Built by Bethlehem Steel Car Company in 1979, the AAR designation
HT indicates this is an open top self-clearing car with fixed
ends, and ends and bottom consisting of three or more divided
hoppers with doors hinged crosswise of car and dumping between
rails. |
