This heavyweight depressed-center flat car with Buckeye trucks was built from Lot 898-F at Beech Grove in January 1961. Painted black with white lettering, this freight car design requires 245,000 lb capacity 3-axle, six-wheel Buckeye Trucks (MTL product #1173). The heavy-duty trucks are for use on high capacity flat cars, gondolas, wreck cranes and locomotive tenders. Because of the low side sill of the flat car, this series was prohibited from third rail territories.
