The Wabash had this 40’ standard box car with double doors built in April 1960. It was painted box car red and lettered in white on sides and ends. WAB 8130 was part of a 300-car fleet which bore Wabash’s ‘Follow the Flag’ herald painted in white. These 3,892 cu ft, 100,000 lb capacity class XAB box cars were equipped with retractable auto loading racks. The capacity marks on the car’s side are calculated with racks in position.
