| This yellow 50’ rib side box car with single
black door and roofwalk displays the bright blue & red “Next Load…Any
Road” logo and runs on black Roller bearing trucks. The free-running pooling
concept successfully pioneered by Trailer Train with its intermodal fleet became
inspiration for the establishment of a free-running nationwide pool of general
service box cars. The American Rail Box Company, as a subsidiary of Trailer Train
Company, formed to own and operate this pool and help alleviate the box car supply
and utilization problems. |
