FMC built this 50’ rib side box car with single door and without roofwalk in Portland OR in April 1977. It is painted industrial gray and is lettered in black with red, green, and blue graphics. The road’s service to forest product industries is reflected in the car’s slogan ‘Trees are America’s Renewable Resource.’ In 1963 the CIRR was founded by the Great Northern Nekoosa Paper Company to serve a new plant near Cedar Springs. In 1991 it was acquired by Georgia Pacific and placed under the same management as Ashley, Drew and Northern. The merged road had junctions with CSX and Norfolk.
