Made in Mexico, this 50’ rib side box car with single door and without roofwalk is stenciled entirely in Spanish. It was built in September 1979 and serviced in 1982. The paint scheme is box car red with white lettering. This class XM box car has a 69,500 kg (150,000 lb) capacity and rolls on Barber® roller bearing trucks. The National Railway of Mexico is made up of branching routes in both 3-foot and standard gauge. Lines run from many Texas border towns through Mexico and on to the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific Ocean.
