This 50' rib side box car with plug door and no roofwalk is painted MRL blue with white lettering, white "Flying W" and white and red Montana Rail Link letters. Built October 1968 and serviced at SP January 1983, MRL 25044, has been repainted (sometime after 1996) with the new "Flying W" portion of the new paint scheme. The "Flying W" is the symbol of parent company Washington Corporation and owner, native Montanan, Dennis Washington. Montana Rail Link began operations in 1987 on 557 miles of the former NP main line. After MRL purchased and repainted the old BN fleet, dates and data remained unchanged.
