This 80,000 lb capacity, 40' outside-braced box car with single door was equipped with Andrews trucks. It was built in May 1924 and painted box car red with white lettering. Shifting freight loads were causing substantial damage to the wooden ends of these cars, so many were rebuilt with steel ends. Rebuilding was economically preferable to buying new fleets. The Ann Arbor, with 45 miles of road between Toledo, OH and Ann Arbor, MI, was incorporated in 1895. Today, the road continues to operate under the names of Tuscola & Saginaw Bay and Michigan Interstate Railways. (last released May 1974)
