This 50’ standard box car with single door bears Central of Georgia’s famous ‘football’ paint scheme. The colors are black with silver and black lettering, and CG’s logo in yellow with black lettering. Number 1572 was built in February 1956 by Pullman Standard. In 1833, the citizens of Savannah, GA organized the Central Railroad & Canal Company in order to make a railroad connection to Macon, GA. Today, the road reaches all the way to Birmingham and Chattanooga. It is headquartered in Savannah, GA and is registered as part of the Norfolk Southern.
