This 50’ standard box car with double doors and no roofwalk is gold with black ends has black Barber® Roller bearing trucks. Constructed with Keystone 20” cushioned underframes, most of the cars in this series were equipped with Spartan Easy Loaders and were assigned to copper loading out of Kennecott Copper at Garfield, Utah and U.S. Smelting & Refining at International. Originally delivered in the two-tone “Grande Gold over Silver” with black ends paint scheme, number 63773 had the roofwalk removed and was repainted into a simplified gold and black scheme with the flying “Rio Grande” road name in 1977 at the Burnham Shops.
