This 50' standard box car with plug door, and without roofwalk was built in June 1966. In July 1983 it was serviced and painted BN green with white lettering. The class RBL box car is insulated, equipped with DF-B bulkheads, and has a 20” cushioned underframe. The 144,000 lb capacity car is equipped with Barber® roller-bearing trucks. In 1901 GN and NP acquired 49 percent of Burlington’s stock to assure a connection from St. Paul to Chicago. In 1905, they organized and constructed the SP&S Railway. After the 1970 merger, BN continued to acquire railroads, including Colorado & Southern, Fort Worth & Denver, and ATSF.
