This 40’ double-sheathed wood box car with single door rolled out of the shops of the Mt. Vernon Car Company in July 1919. It is painted box car red with white stenciling. The 3,098 cu ft, 80,000 lb capacity car rolls on Andrews trucks. The forward-facing ‘Rocky’ of the original paint scheme was replaced with this silhouette version when the car was serviced in May 1944. |
