This 50' flat car with straight sides and side mount brake wheel was built by the Pacific Car & Foundry in October 1951. It was painted for the Spokane, Portland & Seattle Railroad in black with white lettering. The SP&S called itself ‘The Northwest’s Own Railway,’ and maintained track, which covered territory from Astoria, Portland and Eugene, Oregon up through Seattle and Spokane, Washington. This 110,000 lb capacity flat car rolls on Bettendorf trucks.
