This 50’ flat car with straight sides and side mount brake wheel was built in July 1957 at CB&Q’s Havelock shop. It is painted box car red and lettered in yellow. CB&Q 93374 is part of a 200-car fleet of class FM-14A cars, which were built to haul a variety of loads from lumber to large machinery. The 100,000 lb capacity car has a 53’-6” floor and is equipped with Bettendorf trucks. The CB&Q was established in February 1855. In July 1901, GN and NP purchased 98 percent of its stock, ultimately making the road a part of the James Hill rail empire.
