Greenville Steel Company built this 50’ flat car with fishbelly sides and side mount brake wheel in February 1953. It is painted in WM’s ‘Fast Freight’ paint scheme of Western Maryland oxide red with white stenciling. Number WM 2645 is one of 79 class F-9 flat cars that were used in general-purpose service. It has a 140,000 lb capacity and rolls on Bettendorf Trucks. These flats were again painted in 1953 in the WM speed-lettering scheme. Changes have been made to this release to better represent the prototype.
