Road #3554
Black with white lettering are the colors on this 50 flat car with fishbelly sides and side mount brake wheel. It was built in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1911 by American Car & Foundry. Rules specified that railroads chartered in Texas but run outside the state had to have a variation of the road within the state, hence the lengthy road name on this car. This flat car has a 100,000 lb capacity and rolls on archbar trucks. In the 1920s, many flats of this class were relettered and renumbered. They were also refitted with Bettendorf trucks.
