| This 50’ gondola, fishbelly sides,
w/ drop ends, is painted orange with black lettering and runs on
Bettendorf trucks. Boston and Maine grew for the most part by acquisition,
not by construction. The oldest component of the B&M was the
line between Boston and Lowell, Massachusetts, 25 miles, opened
by the Boston & Lowell Railroad on June 25, 1835. |
