This 40’ double sheathed wood reefer with horizontal brakewheel, black roof and ends and Tuscan sides has a colorful ‘Brookside Milk’ billboard paint scheme. From about 1918 until the mid-1950’s, the Bellows Falls Co-Operative Creamery shipped bottled milk from Vermont to FINAST stores in Boston. These colorful, converted refrigerator cars owned by Mystic Terminal Company, a subsidiary of the B&M Railroad, ran on BX express trucks.
