This 52' 2" riveted steel express reefer with plug door, wearing the reporting mark DOT X-3, is a red, white & blue government support car for the Urban Rapid Rail Program. It runs on BX Express trucks with medium plus extension couplers. Urban Rapid Rail was a part of the State-of-the-Art Car (SOAC) Program and was designed to demonstrate and test the newest in rail car technology.
