The Thrall Car Manufacturing Co. of Chicago, Illinois built this 60' 8" Thrall® centerbeam flat car in July 1986. It is painted yellow with black lettering. Number TTZX 86097 is operated by Trailer Train® and the reporting mark ‘TTZX’ encodes the fact that the car is a 100-ton bulkhead car equipped with a center partition and winch-type tie down system for carrying lumber products. Trailer Train® began operations in 1956, not as a railroad but as a company that owns railrcars. The objective of this company was to furnish standardized and maintained equipment to members at the lowest possible cost.
