Golden West Service
Galveston Railroad, L.P. owns this 61 8 bulkhead flat car operated by Golden West Service. It was built in August 1971 by Greenbrier Railcar, Inc., located in Lake Oswego, Oregon. The paint scheme is blue with yellow lettering and a red and yellow logo. It is part of a 118-car fleet of class FBS bulkhead flatcars with a 147,000 lb capacity and equipped with Barber® roller bearing trucks. GVSR 459003 was cleaned, oiled, and tested in May 1987 by SP at Roseville, California. In fall 1992 this unit was spotted in Utah and a month later in southern Oregon.
