black 33’ twin bay hopper with offset sides and white lettering runs on black
Bettendorf trucks and carries a sand load. In the early seventies, 184 class HTv
hoppers were modified by closing off the hoppers with flat plate steel for sand
loading. The modification converted them to high side gondolas of mechanical designation
GT. This car still displays the now incorrect mechanical designation of HM, even
though a “g” suffix has been added to the class. | Back
