| This
maroon 39’ single dome tank car with vertical brake wheel, proudly
displays the CGW “Lucky Strike” logo in orange, black and white
with yellow lettering. Used for hauling fuel oil (diesel oil),
CGW runs on black Bettendorf trucks. Most diesel fuel came up
from connections at Kansas City but CGW would only buy when and
where the price was right and store the fuel in large storage
tanks at Oelwein until it was needed. |
