In 1988, Burlington Northern began painting a series of its 45’ intermodal trailers with ‘cityscape’ images in recognition of 13 major cities that it serves. Like the other 12, this Ft. Worth trailer is white with green striping and a brilliant color image of the city’s focal points depicted within the letters spelling out the city’s name. Some of the features are the
open-air Water Garden, Will Rogers Memorial Center, cattle ranching, and big business. This project garnered two national advertising awards for Burlington Northern as well as recognition from the cities represented.
