This light gray 3 Bay ACF center flow covered hopper with round hatches, blue stenciled ‘T’ and black lettering, runs on black Barber Roller bearing trucks. Built by American Car and Foundry between 1994 & 1998 for Solvay Minerals®, Inc. as SMNX series #466-555. The “blue T” fleet was originally owned by Tenneco Minerals. Tenneco was purchased by Solvay Chemicals, in 1992. Solvay Chemicals retained ownership of the “blue T” logo and continued to apply the logo for continuity purposes as they received the SMNX cars, however, the current paint program does not allow for the application of the logo as cars are repainted. The fleet is in soda ash service out of Green River, WY
