The N Scale Supply Display Layout
is FOR SALE
The layout was
built by Mike Danneman as a test of construction techniques. Pictures from this
layout were featured on the 1997 and 1998 covers of the Walthers Catalog. It has
also been written up in the March 1996 issue of Model Railroader. And it was featured
in the book by Mike Danneman "Scenery
for your Model Railroad" which I will include a copy of.

LAYOUT
INFO: |
Size: 5'x 7'
L Shaped
Construction: A light 1"x3" frame covered with multiple layers of foam.
The foam was hand carved into the terrain. Backdrop was hand painted. The layout
is one piece and the backdrop is permanently attached.
Track: Peco code 55, approximately one scale mile. Trackwork operates flawlessly.
Its not uncommon for this layout to run 8 hours a day, multple days per week,
without any derailment for months.
Wiring: The layout is wired as one electrical block. The tracks in the yard area
are controlled by the turnouts which are power routing. With very little work
this layout can be DCC friendly (we will be glad to do this work). |
