Adapter board 21MTC for 8 amplified outputs, with soldering pads and wires

Our new adapter board 3 for decoders with 21MTC interface is best suited for everyone intending to digitise a loco without interface but with many functions without having to carry out major soldering work. With its compact dimensions of 30.5mm x 15.5mm it is almost the same size as the decoder and also equipped with an extra mounting lug that can be easily broken off if not required.

The board is equipped with amplifiers (about 250mA each) for the function outputs AUX3 through AUX6, which are only provided as logic outputs on all VHDM, NEM resp. NMRA compliant decoders. Thus the board offers the option of up to 8 outputs.

For easy handling and wiring the most important contacts are already equipped with 200mm long wires.

Dimensions: Length 31.0mm x 15.5mm (With mounting tabs: 36.0mm x 15.5mm)

Decoder tester for decoder.NEM651,652,21MTC,PluX22,Next18, Single wires. Coreless motor, LED monitor, 20mm spk., Extension port

Perhaps you are familiar with this scenario: there is a digital decoder sitting on your workbench and you want to test it prior to a perhaps complex installation. But how to do this?

The Profi Decoder tester makes it easy for you: simply connect the tester to your command station or the LokProgrammer. It enables you to test any decoder without exposing it to any external factors caused by the locomotive that may influence its performance.

Features

In order to make things as easy as possible for you, the Profi Decoder Tester is equipped with some useful features. It has all commonly used interface sockets for connecting a decoder for the smaller scale models:

Besides a 6-pole NEM 651 socket and the 8-pole NEM 652 socket, it also has an 21MTC interface as per NEM 660, a PluX22 socket as well as a Next18 interface: No matter which type of decoder you have: Simply plug it in – it will fit! And that’s all there is to it!

Decoders without any interface can be contacted with individual terminals.

A quality coreless motor with flywheel serves in conjunction with LEDs indicating the direction for checking the motor output: Thus it is quite easy to check on the low speed performance and the even speed of the decoder. An LED monitor informs you about the functioning of the headlights and back-up lights as well as the function outputs AUX1 through AUX6.

For testing LokSound decoders we have integrated a 20 mm speaker. You may choose if the integral speaker should be switched off or if it should have 100 Ohm respectively 16 Ohm – thus the Decoder Tester is perfectly suitable for any ESU decoder generation!

Two SUSI plugs facilitate the direct test of optional SUSI modules as well as the connection to another circuit board.

The electrical connection to either the command station or the LokProgrammer is facilitated by a removable, 2-pole terminal block (same system as used on the LokProgrammer and the ECoS) or via two solder points.

Extension

Now there is an extension board that enables you to also connect our large scale decoders to the Decoder Tester. With this vast range of components your Profi Decoder Tester will soon be an indispensable aid in your workshop!

PowerPack Mini enery buffer for LokPilot V4.0, LokSound V4.0, LokPilot 5 family and LokSound 5 family, 1F/2.7V

The new ESU PowerPack Mini can be wired to all fourth and fifth generation ESU decoders. It reliably supplies energy to your locomotive when traversing dirty track or long turnout ladders.

With its energy storage (1 Farad capacity) the unit supplies power to all light and motor functions as well as to the sound module. Subject to the energy consumption of your model it may continue to move for up to three seconds.

The PowerPack Mini incorporates an integral charging circuit controlled by the decoder. Therefore it may be connected even during programming. In order to avoid an undue load on the booster in case there are several models in the same booster sector, the charging current is limited.

The buffer time can be reduced by means of a CV. This may be useful to assure the correct stopping position ahead of signals showing the “Stop” aspect (red signal).

Although it is considerably smaller than its predecessor, the space requirements of the PowerPack Mini of about 15.7 mm x 9.7 mm x 13 mm must be taken into account when installing this unit.

A three-pole wire harness connects the PowerPack Mini to the decoder. The wires are already soldered to the PowerPack Mini and must be soldered to the appropriate solder pads of the decoder.
