San Jose National Train Show Announcements
Kato followed the same practice of last years 'Intention to Produce' annoucement made in St. Paul. At that time they announced what they intended to produce by the end of 2000. Well in San Jose they have recently announced their intentions for the 2000/2001 year. At this time (08/15/00) we are not taking reservations for any product that has not been formally announced by Kato. Please check our web site for any announcements as they are made.

| Corrugated Passenger Cars : Announced in 1999 these are due to start shipping in September. We are still taking reservations for most road names. |
| SD80/90 MAC : Actually announced in 1999 at the St. Paul convention, this model should be out by the end of 2000. At this time Road Names, Road #'s, Part #'s, scheduled deliver and pricing have NOT been announced. I realize that other web sites have already posted they are taking orders, but this would be speculation at this time. As of 8/15/00 Kato (verified by talking to Kato) has not made any formal announcements concerning this production run. The day we hear of any info we will be posting it to our web site and begin taking reservations. |
| C44-9W : Another production run of the extremely popular Dash-9's will be done. Speculation has that the BNSF Warbonnet and BNSF Orange/Green schemes will be done. |
| US Prototype Caboose : Kato is showing a prototype picture of a fairly short center-cupola caboose on their web site. |
| Amtrak Genesis Engine : So far only done in brass, this should be a popular engine. Typically here in Colorado we see Amtrak #5/6 with three pulling the Amtrak Zephyr train. |
| Amtrak Superliner Cars : To complement the Genesis engines will be sets of Superliner Cars. |
| Rail Diesel Car (RDC) : These unique self-powered cars were typically used in commuter runs. |
| New F7 Train Sets : These sets will contain an F7 engine, a few cars, caboose and a loop of Kato UniTrack. Road names and rolling stock will be different from previous runs. |
