Starting
at the Old Denver South Park & Pacific Division town of Como,
the memories of former C&S narrow gauge railroaders are traced
across the old South Park Line. From family photo albums, tape
recordings, newspaper articles and historical documents, the past
is brought to life. Starting in 1899 the Colorado & Southern
carried the torch of the old DSP&P until the line was scrapped.
The memories
from these former railroaders were passed on to their descendants
and set the stage for insight into life on a Colorado mountain
railroad and in Colorado mountain towns. There are approximately
340 b&w photos, many from railroaders' cameras and previously
not published, in this 240 page hardbacked book, along with
maps and paper items.
