This digital train video captures the historic run of steam engine UP3985 through California in early September 2005 through Feather River Canyon, Oroville, Roseville, Tehama, Redding and Dunsmuir.

As a bonus you'll see a special treat in the consist, heritage unit UP1983, dedicated to Western Pacific/UP merger in the year 1983. This brand new unit was just recently released to run the rails in California.

Enjoy the sights and sounds of steam as the video chases the engine through some of the most beautiful rail terrain California has to offer.
