This 50' standard box
car with single door is painted black with white lettering and red and yellow
bands. It was built in October 1941 by Pullman-Standard, serviced in March 1948,
and runs on Allied Full Cushion trucks. Originally numbered into series 25100-25288,
KCS 400 is one of four cars converted into express box cars by KCS in 1948. These
