This
50' standard box car with double doors is painted Century Green with black ends
and roof. The side bears the New York Central 'cigar band' logo in black and white
with red 'New York' letters. Lettering is in white. It was built in November 1959
and runs on Bettendorf trucks. #47030 is from a 100-car fleet, 26 of which were
still in service as of 1981. XML standard box cars are loader-equipped and fully
or partially lined with steel perforated
side rails, or stanchion and cross
members for the securing of certain types of loading or permanently attached moveable
