in 1956 by American Car & Foundry, with a 105,000-pound capacity and at 4878 
cubic feet, this 50’ boxcar was assigned to pool service for appliance manufacturers. 
Central Railroad of New Jersey, known as the “Jersey Central,” was a Class 1 railroad 
that operated nearly 700 miles of track until 1976 before being rolled into Conrail.
