This 60’ excess height box car with
double plug doors and rivet sides is painted brown with white logos and lettering.
The ends are painted with ‘Excess Height’ masks with black lettering. It was built
in August 1973 by the Greenville Steel Car Co. and runs on Roller Bearing trucks.
This car and its series are in their original paint scheme and are easily spotted
by the white wrap around bands on the ends, marking their excess height designation.
This car usually hauled auto parts and household appliances that required the
extra height offered. |
