| This 40’ double-sheathed
wood box car with single door is white with black lettering and
runs on Andrews trucks. The Stark Brothers Fruit Company has been
around since 1816 and its famous black bear logo was as common as
a famous cola company artwork during the early 1900’s. Transporting
fruit, fruit products and even wine from Louisiana to Missouri,
the company was lauded by the likes of Luther Burbank for their
efforts to protect growers by sponsoring legislation in the 1930’s
allowing them to patent their unique varieties. |
