52’ riveted steel express reefer with plug door is green with white lettering
and red REA herald. Built in 1957 these were often used at the head end of New
Haven passenger trains. REA was a national operation formed by the U.S. Government
in 1917, and provided small package shipping across the U.S. rail network. |
