36’ wood sheathed ice reefer with truss rods is painted box
car red with green sides and black lettering. Built
by Mather Stock Car Co, it runs on Arch Bar trucks. Oppenheimer,
as well as other shippers, recognized that car sides
were a billboard awaiting an advertisement and devised this classic
design in an effort to attract public attention.
