This
40’ standard box car with single door and no roofwalk is
painted MP grey with white lettering and runs on Bettendorf
trucks. Built in 1959 by De Soto Shops as part of series 128310-131739,
the DF on this car stands for ‘dunnage free’. The
DF2 was an improved system where there were channels that did
not protrude into the interior of the car.
