The
40’ standard box car with single door has tall end ladders
and short sides and no roofwalk is yellow with black lettering
and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built in 1957 by Canadian Car
and Foundry, this XL series boxcar was outfitted with movable
bulkheads and was used exclusively for asphalt shingle service.
