This 40’ standard box car with plug door and no roofwalk is car #22 of a 44-car series representing each of the presidents of the United States. It bears the portrait of our 14th president, Franklin Pierce. The car comes with a commemorative pin replicated from this era. Pierce was sometimes referred to as “Babyface” because of his youthful appearance and his election as the youngest president in U.S. history. He was a U.S. Representative and Senator from New Hampshire, and later served as brigadier general in the Mexican American War.
