This 50’ wagon top box car with double
door has a dark blue body and black roof with yellow TAG logo and lettering and
runs on black Bettendorf trucks. This car series is stenciled “For Carpet Loading
Only” and was most likely designated to a carpet mill located along the TAG line.
The TAG passed into history in 1971 when it was purchased and merged into the
Southern Railway System.
