This
40’ drop bottom gondola with wood chip extension is black with
yellow and green lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Originally
built in 1953 as general service cars, series 9101-9400 was
renumbered in 1958 to series 5001-5070 and converted by having
their roofs removed and their doors sealed shut, to carry wood
chips for fiberboard paper products.
