3-Bay ACF Center Flow® Covered Hopper w/Elongated Hatches

This 3-bay ACF covered hopper with elongated hatches is painted Big Sky Blue with modernized “Rocky” herald with simplifi ed lettering scheme in white. It runs on black Barber® roller bearing trucks. Built by ACF in 1968 as Lot #11-02692, the series 170000-170299 was the last of the covered centerfl ow hopper cars purchased by the GN. The hoppers carried western grain to the east to be converted into milk by Vermont dairy cattle.
